Frequently asked questions

EF stands for Efficient Forward Technology. All Active Classic models marked with EF - whether Sport or Cruising - are built with this technology. It ensures an efficient, forgiving kick and very good gliding properties, even if the cross-country skiing technique is not yet perfect.
The Sport models offer traditional ski lengths for smooth gliding, while the shorter lengths of the Cruising models offer easier handling and provide better control of the skis and speed, especially on descents and when braking.
To simplify classic cross-country skiing, the climbing wax is replaced by Crown or Twin Skin in these models. Both are universal and do not need to be adjusted to the snow conditions before each use, as is the case with grip wax. Twin Skin skins provide a reliable kick even in icy and hard snow conditions but need to be treated with liquid wax occasionally to ensure their function. Crown, on the other hand, is very easy to care for and only needs to be cleaned if dirt or wax particles stick to the base.
Aeroguide Skate models are suitable for cross-country skiers who are just learning the skating technique or need support for their technique. The stronger sidecut provides more grip on the edges and therefore a safe kick, while the two continuous grooves increase stability and control when gliding.
