Above all, the new Aeroguide Skate 85 scored top marks in the Active Skate category.  The new skate ski, which is tailored to the needs of recreational skiers and those new to the sport, impressed the testers with "features specially tailored to beginners, such as short length, very good handling and yet very good skiing behavior."

Their report continues: “It scored top marks in almost all criteria, in terms of weight and also in terms of power and technique. This Fischer model set an absolute record in evaluation across all categories.”

In the Race Skate category, the Speedmax Helium Skate Plus was praised lavishly: “It achieved numerous top scores and was easy to skate according to the testers. This is also reflected in the low demands on technique and strength that were noted. It is also by far the lightest ski in this category.”

The testers characterized the Speedmax 3D Classic Plus as a “very balanced ski” and, along with the Twin Skin Speedmax 3D, earned “a very good result in terms of all criteria” in the Race Classic and Race Classic Skin categories. Both categories require skiers to have a clean kick, explosive power transfer, and appropriate fitness.

The Orbiter was described by the testers in the Nordic Cruising Classic category as an “evergreen favorite.” According to xc-ski.de, the ski is “traditionally rather sporty to run” and was “one of only two crown skis in the test to be rated very well across the board.” This category is aimed at beginners and recreational skiers who focus on experiencing nature rather than racing. This is why Nordic Cruising skis are shorter and offer a simple kick with a softer residual tension.
