The RACE CODE seal of quality on the product makes it clear that this product comes directly from the Fischer racing department and guarantees a technological edge for professionals and ambitious athletes.
In general, the models with the DTG World Cup Plus base have the widest and most universal range of use from -10°C (14°F) and warmer. Among the skating models, the Speedmax Helium Skate Plus and Speedmax 3D Skate models have the widest range of use due to their 610 characteristics, while the Speedmax 3D Classic Plus 902 is mostly used for classic technique.
The skis are delivered “prewaxed”. To protect against oxidation and soiling during transportation, the skis are coated with a thin layer of wax during production, which must be removed and brushed off before the first use.
The thin, structured base layer on the sidewalls, called the Gliding Sidewall, can be waxed using liquid wax. This reduces friction and ensures improved gliding properties and even more speed.
The classic models have a softer sole to make it easier to roll off and find the kick, while the skating models have a stiffer sole for direct power transmission and greater torsional rigidity for lateral kick. In addition, the skating models have a higher cuff to provide stability to the ankle during push-off for effective power transfer.
If you push the binding backwards, you get more speed when gliding. Especially in the classic technique, you get better grip when pushing off if you push the binding forward. With twin skin skis in particular, the ski can be individually adapted to the snow conditions.
