Ranger Line

Crafted to

ski more

Jack of all trades, master of more: The new All-mountain / Freeride line truly lives up to its name by offering skiers endless opportunities on the mountain. The new Ranger series is the result of Fischer’s ongoing collaboration between athletes and product developers with the aim of making this iconic line of skis even more engaging. The slogan “Crafted to ski more” is the guiding principle.

New season - new colors. Even though the tried and tested Ranger remains technically identical, we're breathing a little new life into the collection by giving the colors an update. A mix of trendy and toned-down colors ensures that there is something for every taste, whether you want to stand out or combine the skis with your outfits in the best possible way. The Ranger is therefore not only a technical highlight, but also an absolute eye-catcher.

The Development

The idea behind the Ranger collection is to enable skiers to ski more. And that's exactly why we developed the Ranger in close collaboration with our Global Freeride Team athletes. An unbeatable amount of experience, shared but also different performance demands and countless rounds of testing and feedback later, we have created something that is second to none.

The Ranger is crafted to ski more.

Frequently asked questions

The ideal width for Fischer Ranger skis depends on the type of terrain you plan to ski and your personal skiing style. Fischer Ranger skis are designed for all-mountain and freeride skiing, offering versatility across different conditions, from groomed runs to powder. The waist width varies depending on the specific model and intended use.

Here’s a breakdown of the typical waist widths and their suitability:
Ranger & Ranger 90
Best for: All-mountain skiing, with a focus on groomed slopes and mixed terrain. These widths offer a balance between carving ability on groomed runs and enough float for light powder or off-piste skiing. Suitable for skiers who spend most of their time on-piste but occasionally venture off-piste.

Ranger 96 & Ranger 102
Best for: Versatile all-mountain performance with more off-piste capability. This range offers more float in powder, making it ideal for skiers who like to explore off-piste terrain but still want solid performance on groomed runs.

Ranger 108 & 116
Best for: Powder and freeride skiing. Wider skis in this range provide excellent flotation in deep snow and are designed for off-piste, backcountry, and soft-snow conditions. While they can handle groomed runs, they are less agile for carving and more suited for softer snow and freeride terrain.

Choosing the Right Width: If you mostly ski groomed runs with occasional off-piste adventures, a waist width of 90-100 mm will offer a good balance. For skiers who frequently ski off-piste and enjoy powder, a waist width between 100-110 mm is more appropriate. For those focused on deep powder or freeride skiing, go for a wider ski in the 105-115 mm range. The best width will depend on how much time you spend off-piste versus on groomed slopes and how much flotation you want for powder skiing.

The Fischer Ranger and Fischer Nightstick are designed for different skiing disciplines.

Ranger:
An all-mountain and freeride ski, the Ranger is versatile, excelling in both on-piste and off-piste conditions. Its waist width varies from around 90 mm to 115 mm, making it great for a mix of groomed runs, powder, and rough terrain. The Ranger is built for stability, flotation in deep snow, and control at high speeds, ideal for skiers seeking performance across diverse terrains.

Nightstick:
The Nightstick is a freestyle/park ski, designed for terrain parks and trick skiing. It’s narrower and more symmetrical, built for hitting rails, jumps, and half-pipes. The Nightstick is lightweight, durable, and optimized for spins, flips, and switch skiing, making it ideal for skiers focused on park features and tricks.

In essence, the Ranger is for all-mountain versatility, while the Nightstick is tailored for freestyle performance.
Which boots are best suited to the Ranger depends entirely on the area of use of the skis and the selected binding. If an alpine binding is fitted and the Ranger is used for freeride, all-mountain and on-piste skiing, our alpine boots such as the RC4 boots with different flex strengths are best suited. If a touring binding is fitted that only has DYN inserts at the front, the Ranger DYN or the RC4 Pro MV DYN are the most suitable ski boots. If a pure touring binding is fitted that requires tech inserts at the front and rear, the Transalp is a suitable boot model.
